THE VISION
Reaching Mahomet and surrounding areas with God's love through relevant outreach and small groups, welcoming all into an empowering local church leadership culture.
CORE VALUES
- Every person has the right to a presentation of the Gospel at his or her level of understanding.
- Every believer has a purpose in advancing the global mission of Christ and the Church in their generation while being diligent to leave a legacy for the next generation. (Deut. 11:18-19; Judges 2:7-13; Psalm 71:18; Mark 3:13-14; John 14:12).
- The church should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. (I Cor. 9:19-23)
- Ministry flows from personal wholeness. (2 Cor. 7:1; Hebrews 12:1; Philippians 1:6)
- The church should offer opportunities for all people to take steps toward Christ through service or participation at their level of commitment. (Mark 4:33; 2 Cor. 8:3)
- Clear biblical teaching is the catalyst for life transformation, and that ongoing life-change happens best in small groups. (Luke 6:12-13; Acts 2:44-47)
- The ministries of the church should be based upon the spiritual gifts, temperaments and talents of its Christ-followers. However, it must also be understood that all Christians at times need to do a ministry simply because it needs to be done. (I Cor. 12 & 14; Rom.12; Eph. 4; Psalm 133:1; Gal. 4:5-7; Eph 6:6-8)
- Excellence honors God and inspires people. (Col. 3:17; Mal. 1:6-14; Prov. 27:17)
- The church should be led by Christ-followers with leadership gifts who have embraced the vision and core values of their church. (Romans 12:8; Acts 6:2-5)
- Leadership expansion is critical in sustaining both corporate and individual momentum in the local church. Consequently, lifelong learning and personal development must be the hallmarks for participation in ministry and leadership. (Exodus 18; Proverbs 1:5; Proverbs 4:5-9; Acts 6:1-7)
